BALTIMORE SISTERS WIN UPSET BID WHIST VICTORY IN D.C.

Washington DC boasts some of the best Bid Whist players in the nation. It is the home of the Bicycle Playing Cards 2003 & 2005 National Champions, Sam & Troy.

D.C. is also the home of the 2004 & 2005 Bicycle Playing Cards, Players Of The Year, Rob & Reggie.

So it stands to reason that when the 2006 Bicycle Playing Cards Bid Whist Across America Tour came to the D.C. area in March, 2006, at least one of the four available 1st Place Prizes would be won by Sam & Troy or Rob & Reggie.

But that’s why they play the games. Neither one of those teams finished 1st Place in any of the 4 tournaments held that D.C. weekend. In fact, the nearest area team to win were two sisters from Baltimore named Almaria & Tiffany, and they lived 50 miles away from D.C. The teams taking 1st place in the other 3 tournaments were Pevas & Fernando of North Carolina, Jeff & Greg of Atlanta, and Southfield Lou and Notorious B.I.D of Detroit.

It only goes to show you, that the favorites don’t always win in tournaments or games. Maybe my Washington Wizards will win the NBA Championship this season….NOT
